Welcome to the SameBoat Project and Support Center for HHT - Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia, also known as Osler-Weber-Rendu syndrome.
Here you will find a complete support hub for people living with HHT.
Hi, I'm Dana.
No one prepared me for the fact that I had inherited a gene that would shape my life.I discovered I had HHT at age 12, after my first nosebleed. I had watched my mother bleed for years, but I did not truly understand what it meant until it became my own story. For years, I managed it quietly. But during pregnancy, everything became more serious. My bleeding increased, my liver was affected, I needed blood transfusions and iron infusions, and my body went through more than I ever expected. After giving birth prematurely at 28+2 weeks, I slowly began to recover β and I started searching for every possible way to better understand and support my body.
Important: I am not a doctor. Everything shared here is based on personal experience, community learning, and educational information. Please consult your doctor before using any product, supplement, herb, or treatment approach.
With love,
Dana
